Julidans is looking for a production intern
March to July 2026, approx. 3 days per week, flexible working hours
Julidans is the leading international festival for contemporary dance and takes place annually at multiple locations in Amsterdam, including the Internationaal Theater Amsterdam (ITA), Theater Bellevue, Vondelpark Openluchttheater, Frascati, Brakke Grond, Podium Mozaïek, Bijlmerparktheater, Meervaart and Stedelijk Museum.
The festival presents innovative choreographers who use the moving body to express their vision on personal and social themes. In addition to performances, Julidans offers a rich contextual programme with workshops, post-performance discussions and meetings with creators. We provide a stage for both established names and the new generation of dance makers.
To strengthen the production team, we are looking for a motivated and eager to learn intern
Tasks:
- Compiling and organizing welcome packs and festival passes for groups
- Assisting with the production and coordination of one or more location projects
- Performing production tasks, including providing props and dressing room catering
- Supporting and coordinating volunteers and dressers
- Working on your personal learning goals: we tailor tasks to these wherever possible
We are looking for:
- An intern who is enrolled in a relevant programme (e.g. Performing Arts Production, Arts and Culture Studies, Theatre Studies or Cultural Management)
- Someone who is available full-time during Julidans (from 3 to 14 July 2026, tbc); the number of days outside the festival period will be determined in consultation
- A team player who enjoys contributing to the bigger picture
- Someone who is good at planning, organizing and enjoys practical work
- Someone with an affinity for dance
- Someone with a good command of the English language, preferably also Dutch

- Intensive guidance from the head of production and the assistant programming; you will experience first-hand how a festival such as Julidans is organised from a production perspective
