How do you put feelings into words? How do you start a conversation about dance? Dance performances cannot be summarised with descriptions like ‘beautiful’ or ‘interesting’. Sometimes you search for the right words to describe the experience and the feeling the performance evokes. During Julidans, you’ll find cards in the theatre cafés at each venue with a number of questions that invite the audience to start a conversation with one another. Questions such as “What do you think this piece says about our times?” and “What emotion would you associate with this performance?” may be helpful starting points.
