Julidans x AMMODO

Since 2018, Stichting Ammodo and Stichting Julidans have focused on mid-career choreographers who want to develop in making productions on a larger scale and are about to break through internationally. A mid-career maker is someone who has been making their own work for some time and has also developed their own vocabulary and is ready to take the next step in their development and career.

Julidans has increasingly focused on this in recent years because they see in them the icons of the future. Also because we see a gap between small and large venue productions. Julidans, with the support of Ammodo, wants to help bridge this gap by using their forerunner function as a festival. Therefore, Julidans and Ammodo have together supported choreographers such as Alan Lucien Øyen, Jan Martens and Euripides Laskaridis with co-production contributions for large-scale performances, which were then given a prominent place in the festival's main programme or in programming outside the festival season.

-|-In recent years, thanks to the support of Ammodo, Julidans has been able to support the field and further strengthen and deepen relationships with makers and producers. Since 2022, thanks to the extended partnership between Julidans and Ammodo, it has been possible to co-produce not one but even two productions per year. These co-productions will be presented during the festival and come from makers from both Europe and beyond.
