Let’s go outside! This summer, you can once again catch Julidans performances at the Vondelpark Openluchttheater on two Friday evenings during the festival.

Location Vondelpark Openluchttheater
Duration 75 minutes
Language Language no problem
Double bill
On the first Friday, we will present an exclusive preview of Anthology,Andreas Hannes’s latest production, which premieres on July 6 at Theater Bellevue. In Anthology, everything centres on skipping. Five dancers use it to set in motion a continuous sequence of rhythm and movement. What begins as a light and familiar performance transforms into a dazzling choreography in which bodies accelerate, shift and converge: a physical exercise in keeping moving.
-|-In addition, the unconventional choreographer Connor Schumacher will present an excerpt from his latest creation, Asset Liability & Equity, especially for Julidans. He already turned the Vondelpark upside down during Julidans in 2025, and this year the choreographer brings five dancers and a flamboyant Master of Ceremony onto the stage for an absurd choreographic competition. The entire performance will take place on July 9 at 21:00 at Internationaal Theater Amsterdam.

Andreas Hannes
Andreas Hannes develops a distinctive movement practice in which rhythm, gravity and vibration shape the human physique. His work moves between dance, music and image, and explores how movement arises through the interplay of space and environment. After an initial focus on and background in classical percussion and film, he graduated from the SNDO in 2018 with The City. Since then, he has been developing a consistent, ongoing body of work focused on skipping and related movements, which has been recognised with awards including the BNG Dance Prize (2020) and selection for Aerowaves (2022).
Connor Schumacher
Connor Schumacher is an American choreographer and performer who has been living and working in the Netherlands since 2012. His work explores the intersection of contemporary dance, performance and club culture. In 2020, he founded the ARK platform in Rotterdam, where choreography, participation and social interaction come together. In his projects, the boundary between stage and auditorium often blurs: dance emerges from the dynamics between people in the same space. In 2019, Schumacher received the Dutch Dance Days Award.
